China's first permanent magnet soonest high-speed commercial operation for 3 years

The new generation of high-speed train permanent magnet synchronous traction system developed by China CSR Zhuzhou Institute (hereinafter referred to as Zhuzhou Institute) has recently successfully passed the ground test of the national railway inspection and test center. The reporter of "daily economic news" recently learned in Zhuzhou that the first high-speed railway with permanent magnet traction system has been offline in CSR Qingdao Sifang. Next, it will enter the stage of assessment and test. It can realize commercial operation as soon as three years later.
It is understood that traction system technology is the core technology of locomotives, and the breakthrough of permanent magnet technology in domestic high-speed rail power application will make China's high-speed rail more competitive on the world stage.
At the same time, before Zhuzhou became a wholly-owned subsidiary of CSR in 2008, it was also held by CSR. After belonging to CSR, Zhuzhou Institute has always been regarded as the key to distinguish between the north and the south. When the voice of "North South vehicle integration" is growing, the research institutes of rail transit represented by Zhuzhou will undoubtedly become the focus of integration game again.
Outstanding energy saving advantages of permanent magnet locomotive
As an important basic material to support the modern electronic information industry, permanent magnet has been widely used in many fields, such as watches, cameras, automobiles, generators, medical instruments and variable frequency air conditioning. Permanent magnet concept stocks in the capital market are also popular for many times.
However, it was not until 2011 that the permanent magnet synchronous traction developed by Zhuzhou was loaded on the 20th train of Shenyang Metro Line 2 that the first application of permanent magnet in China's rail transit system was realized.
Xu Junfeng, deputy director of CSR foundation and platform research and development center in charge of permanent magnet power research of high-speed rail, told the daily economic news that Zhuzhou Institute started the research on permanent magnet motor system in 2003. The traction system is the key source of power for high-speed trains, and has been known as the "heart" of high-speed EMUs and other rail transit vehicles Therefore, foreign countries refuse to export technology to China. China has to start from scratch and develop independently.
Once the high-speed train adopts permanent magnet synchronous traction system, on the one hand, it can make full use of the characteristics of high power density of permanent magnet motor to reduce the dynamic traction ratio of the train (referring to the proportion of power train and non power train in a fixed formation train); on the other hand, by improving the traction efficiency of the train, it can save a lot of electric energy and reduce the cost of the whole life cycle of the train.
Xu Junfeng, for example, said that although the cost of a single permanent magnet motor for high-speed rail is about 10% higher than that of the AC asynchronous motor currently in service, the cost of the whole train installed with permanent magnet motor will be reduced by 20% by saving the dynamic traction ratio, for example, for a train that originally needed 6-motor-2-trailer, only 4-motor-4-trailer can be used.
Generally speaking, the energy consumption of traction system accounts for 40% ~ 50% of the total energy consumption of rail transit system. According to the data provided by CSR, according to the measurement results in Shenyang Metro, the permanent magnet synchronous traction system can save 9.61% energy compared with the asynchronous traction system. It is estimated that if the 96 rail transit lines planned and constructed nationwide in 2015 adopt permanent magnet synchronous traction system, the annual energy consumption of new lines will be saved by 192 million yuan.
China has unique advantages
Industry insiders believe that the development of a new generation of traction drive system with permanent magnet synchronous motor as the core is a revolutionary innovation for rail transit traction technology, and its commercial prospects are also concerned.
In Germany, Japan, France and other high-speed rail countries, permanent magnet synchronous drive system has been applied to high-speed EMUs, metro vehicles, low floor vehicles, monorail vehicles, locomotive shunting and other fields, most of which have completed the development of the prototype and the assessment of the actual line, and is gradually applied in small batch in some occasions.
Although China's permanent magnet R & D in rail transit started late, it has gradually caught up with the advanced level of foreign countries. Zhuzhou Institute's downline of permanent magnet high-speed railway marks that China has become one of the few countries in the world that master the technology of high-speed permanent magnet traction system.
According to the commercialization process of permanent magnet metro, the commercialization of permanent magnet high speed railway is expected to be achieved as soon as 3 years. At that time, the market scale of permanent magnet high-speed railway will be very considerable: 96 urban rail transit lines will be built in China around 2015, one line is composed of 20 trains and six cars, and each locomotive is calculated by 1 million yuan, and one line permanent magnet synchronous traction system will produce 120 million yuan of output value. If all 96 lines adopt permanent magnet synchronous traction system, the expected output value will reach 11.5 billion yuan.
As far as overseas market is concerned, it was not until July 2013 that Toshiba of Japan announced that it was the first time to obtain a large order of permanent magnet synchronous traction system in overseas Metro Market: order for 396 modified permanent magnet synchronous traction systems of 66 trains in Singapore. The overseas market of permanent magnet high-speed rail is just starting, of course, the market competition will be very fierce.
However, China permanent magnet has incomparable advantages. Xu Junfeng, in an interview with the daily economic news, said that as long as technology research and development can match the international level, China's biggest advantage is that it has rich rare earth resources of permanent magnet materials. At present, several large foreign manufacturers have been hoping to do it in China, because it can reduce costs.
The reporter also learned from CSR that on October 30, the 3000th urban rail traction system of Zhuzhou Institute was officially offline in Zhuzhou. This means that since 2007, the domestic independent traction system brand obtained the qualification of independent bidding for the first time, the cumulative production quantity of domestic traction system exceeded that of foreign enterprises (including Sino foreign joint ventures) for the first time.
